If a right circular cylinder is heated in such a way that it's radius and height each is increased by 1%then the increase in volume of the solid will be?

let it's radius and height are r and h . then it's volume will be 1/3πr^2h . now if the r and h are increased by 1% , then the new radius will be 101r/100 and new height will be 101r/100.

therefore it's new volume will become1/3π1030301r^2h .

therefore the percentage increase in it's volume will be 3%

answer is 3%
