let the side of a square is x cm
then the area of a square is x^2 cm^2
if the side of a square is increased by 5 centimetre then the new side =x+5 cm
and the area of square = x^2+25+10x
now
x^2+25+10x-x^2=165
x=14
new length =19 cm
then the area of a square is x^2 cm^2
if the side of a square is increased by 5 centimetre then the new side =x+5 cm
and the area of square = x^2+25+10x
now
x^2+25+10x-x^2=165
x=14
new length =19 cm
