Given :- if a sphere is melted and recast in to the shape of a cylinder the things which remains same is ?

Answer :-

we know that,

  • when any solid is melted and recast into the shape of another solid there volume remains same .
  • Because when you melted a solid , you will gets total volume of that solid . and , when you start recasting it, you will use same volume in making another solid figure .

so,

  • Volume of sphere = (4/3)πr³
  • Volume of cylinder = (πR²h)

Let us assume that, Radius of sphere melted in r unit and radius and height of recast cylinder are R and h unit respectively .

then,

→ Volume of sphere = (4/3)πr³ .

therefore,

→ Volume of cylinder recast = Volume of cylinder

→ (4/3)πr³ = πR²h

→ (4/3)r³ = R²h

4r³ = 3R²h .

Hence, we can conclude that, if a sphere is melted and recast in to the shape of a cylinder , Volume remains same or 4 times the radius of sphere will always be equal to 3 times the square of radius of cylinder multiply by height .
