if a ststionary bus suddenly speeds up passengers are thrown in the backward direction why dose it happen

Because there is an invisible force called inertia of rest
this inertia throws the passenger in backward direction

Because the passenger's lower body is in contact with the bus when the bus speeds up then the passenger's lower body comes in motion with the bus the passenger's upper body remains in the state of rest
