We multiply

$\frac{x}{y} (z)$

Total capacity of the theater = 1800

Tickets sold

= one third

$=\frac{1}{3}$

So tickets sold

$\frac{1}{3}(1800)$

= 600

Hence the tickets sold by the theater = 600

If a theater holds 1,800 people, and sells 1/3 of its seats, then it sells 600 tickets.
