If a triangle in the xy-coordinate system has vertices at (-2 , -3), (4, -3) and (28, 7), what is the area of the triangle?

SOLUTION

A=-2×-3+(-3×4)+4×7+7×28+28×-3=134

B=-2×7+7×28+28×-3+(-3×4)+4×-3=74

Now,

Area of Triangle

=) (A-B)/2

=) 134-74/2

=) 60/2 = 30
