rhombus is a parallelogram.

we know that area of a parallelogram, sharing a common base with and lying between same parallel lines as a triangle, is twice the area of the triangle

hence,

ar(rhombus) = 2.ar(triangle)

ar(triangle):ar(rhombus) = 1:2
