distance cover by 1ml =43.2/2400=18/1000
multiple into 1000ml =18/1000*1000=18 km in 1litre

Distance traveled = 43.2 km

Petrol used            = 2.4 l

Distance covered in 1 l of petrol = 43.2 ÷ 2.4

Change decimal points by multiplying by 10 = 432 ÷ 24 
   
                                                                                = 18 km

∴ Distance covered with 1 l of petrol = 18 km
