Answer:

Given that,

a = y² - xz/5 ----------(i)

and x = 2, y = -1, z = -3

Now putting the value of x, y, and z in the equation (i)

We get,

a = (-1)² - {(2*(-3))/5}

= 1 - {(-6)/5}

= 1 + 6/5

a = 11/5

∴\begin{gathered}a=\frac{11}{5}\\= > a=2\frac{1}{5}\end{gathered}

a=

5

11

=>a=2

Thanks for your question...

Your required answer :

Given question ,

  • a =  \frac{ \:  y {}^{2}  - xz}{5}

Given value ,

  • x = 2
  • y = - 1
  • z = - 3

Solution ,

  • a =  \frac{ (- 1) {}^{2} - 2 \times ( - 3) }{5}
  •  \frac{1 + 6}{2}
