Answer:
y = 77⁰
x = 50⁰
Step-by-step explanation:
As AB and CD are parallel
then, angle (QRD) = 180⁰
Given that angle(PRD) = 127⁰
Therefore, angle(QRP) = 180⁰ – 127⁰ = 53⁰
and angle(APC) = 50⁰
As angle APR = angle PRD (opp angles are equal)
=> 50⁰ + y = 127⁰
=> y = 127⁰ – 50⁰
=> y = 77⁰
And for finding x we have two method
First method :
angle(APC) = angle(RQP) (as opp angle are equal)
=> 50⁰ = x
Second method :
angle(QPR) + angle(RQP) + angle(QRP) = 180⁰ (Sum of interior angle of triangle is 180⁰)
=> 77⁰ + x + 53⁰ = 180⁰
=> 130⁰ + x = 180⁰
=> x = 180⁰ – 130⁰
=> x = 50⁰
As answer is same from both method I preferred first to be best and second method is best for explaining concept.
