If ∆ABC is congruent to ∆PQR

:–angleA = angleP

=> 105° = (2y - 5)°

=> (2y - 5)° = 105°

=> 2y = 105° + 5°

=> 2y = 110°

=> y = 110°/2

=> y = 55°

:–angleC = angleR

=> 40° = (2x + 8 )°

=> (2x + 8)° = 40°

=> 2x = 40° - 8

=> 2x = 32°

=> x = 32°/2

=> x = 16°

I hope this answer helps you.

Solution :

 \checkmark \sf (2x +8) \degree =  40 \degree \underline{ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \: }(1) \\   \\  \checkmark \: \sf(2y - 5) \degree = 105 \degree \underline{ \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:  \:}(2) \\  \\  \bf [\because \triangle ABC \cong \triangle PQR ]

solving these equations

  \begin{array}{c |c}   \sf2x + 8 = 40& \sf2y - 5 =105 \\ \\   \therefore \: {\color{green} \tt \: x = 16}& \therefore \color{green} \tt \: y = 55\end{array} \\  \\  \\  \\  \\   \small \tt\colorbox{aqua}{@StayHigh}
