Answer:

Area of shaded region =78.75 meter square.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given : ABCD is a rectangle drawn in the figure.

To find : The area of shaded region ?

Solution :

The sides of the rectangle is 11.2 cm and 12.6 m

The diameter of the semi circle is 12.6 m

The radius of the semicircle is 6.3 m

Area of shaded region = area of the rectangle - area of semicircle

Area of rectangle = length × breadth

Length = 11.2 m

Breadth = 12.6 m

Area of rectangle = 11.2 × 12.6 = 141.12 square meter.

Area of semicircle = \frac{\pi r^{2}}{2}

radius r= 6.3 m

Area of semicircle = \frac{22}{7\times 2}\times (6.3)^{2}

Area of semicircle = \frac{22}{14}\times 39.69

Area of semicircle = 62.37m^2

Area of shaded region = area of the rectangle - area of semicircle

Area of shaded region = 141.12 - 62.37

Area of shaded region =78.75 meter square.
