An Any substance which is able to destroy, damage or deteriorate other substance when come in contact is said to be a corrosive in nature. Both strong acids and strong base are corrosive in nature. But all bases are not corrosive.

Iron is corrosive in nature as it gets rusted if came in contact with water and air.
