Answer:

Given Information:-

Aditya can travel 80 k.m in 2 hours.

To Find:-

Distance covered by Aditya in 3 hours and 30 minutes.

PROCESS:-

Let, the distance covered by Aditya in 3 + 1/2 hours be = x km

(Look at the attachment/3 hours and 30 minutes can also be written as 3.5 hours)

Therefore, this is a case of direct variation. (As if time increased, distance will also increase)

ACCORDING TO THE QUESTION:-

\bf{x/3.5  = 80/2}

(Equation Formation for getting the suitable result)

\bf{=>x/3.5 = 40}

(Division of 80 by 2)

\bf{=> x = 40×3.5}

(Changed 3.5 to Right Hand Side and changed it into ×3.5)

\bf\green{=> x = 140}

(Suitable Result)

REQUIRED ANSWER:-

Therefore, Aditya will cover \tt{140 \ kilometres} in 3 hours and 30 minutes.
