i am not sure but through blood it may be transmitted from mother to child.

drdhayanitha: I'm not sure you understood the question, congenital disease is something that is inherited. While AIDS is not congenital, there are chances of a baby still inheriting it from its mother. I just don't understand why and how.
shirisanju: Due to vertically transmitted infection
drdhayanitha: Again, in my question I'm specific about the transmit at the time of birth. Vertically transmitted infection is during the period before or after birth. Pl understand the question.
