if α&β are the zeroes of the polynomial then
α+β = -b/a = 5/1=5
αβ=c/a=m/1=m
here it is given that α-β=1
therefore (α-β)^2 =1
(α+β)^2-4αβ=1
(5)^2-4(m)=1
25-4m=1
-4m=1-25
-4m=-24
m=-24/-4
m=6
