If Alfa and bita are the zeroes of polynomial x^2 -5x + k such that Alfa - bita =1 then find the value of k

Answer:

Step 1 : As we know that Alpha + Beta = -b/a = 5/1

Step 2 : And Alpha*Beta = d/a = k/1

Step 3 : And its given that Alpha-Beta=1

Step 4 : Do by solving Step 1 and Step 3 we get Alpha=2 and Beta=3

Step 5 : Now by putting valur of Alpha and Beta in Step2 we get 2*3=k

Hence k=6
