Step-by-step explanation:

2x² - 4x + 5

For above quadratic polynomial -

alpha + beta = -b/a = 4/2 = 2

alpha*beta = c/a = 5/2

1/alpha + 1/beta

= (alpha+beta)/alpha*beta

= 2/(5/2)

= 4/5
