if alpha and beta are the are the roots of quadratic equation 3 X square + kx + 8 = 20 easy and Alpha upon beta is equal to 2 by 3 then the find the value of key
3x
 {3}x{ {}^{2} }  + kx + 8 = 0

Answer:

10 or -10

Step-by-step explanation:

by vieta's theorem

αβ=8/3....1

α+β=-k/3.....1

now α=(2/3)β....given

pluging in eq 1

(2/3)β²=8/3

β²=4

β=±2

α=±4/3

but α and β both have same sign

when β=-2 α=-4/3....case 1

when β=2 α=4/3....case 2

for case1

α+β=-10/3=-k/3

k=10

for case2

α+β=10/3=-k=3

k=-10

hope it helps u
