3x^2 - 7x - 2 = 0

D = b^2 - 4ac

D = (7)^2 - 4(3)(2)

D = 49 - 24

D = 25

Now ,

x = - b + root (D) / 2a

x = -b + root (D) / 2a , -b - root (D) / 2a

x = -(-7) + root(25) / 2(3) , -(-7) - root(25) / 2(3)

x = 7 + 5 / 6 , 7 - 5 / 6

x = 12 / 6 , 2 / 6

x = 2 , 1 / 3

let 2 be alpha and 1 / 3 be beta

alpha x beta = 2 x 1/3

= 2/3

beta / alpha = 1/3 / 2

= 1 / 3 x 1 / 2 : 1 / 6

Now , alpha x beta + beta / alpha

= 2/3 + 1/6

= 4 + 1 / 6 : 5 / 6

Therefore , 5/6 is ANSWER .
