2x²-5x+3=0

2x²-2x-3x+3=0

2x(x-1)-3(x-1)=0

(x-1)(2x-3)=0

x-1 = 0 ; x=1

2x-3=0 ; x=3/2

Let alpha =1 and beta (ß) =3/2

alpha²+ß² = (1)²+(3/2)²

=1+9/4

=1×4/4 + 9/4

=4/4+9/4

=(4+9)/4

=13/4

Hope it helps
