given quadratic eqn = 8x²+2x-1

by comparing with ax² + bx + c

[ a= 8, b= 2, c= -1]

bu using the formula -b +/- √b²- 4ac/2a

we get two roots alpha and beta

alpha = 1/4 , beta = -1/2

given alpha/beta²-beta/alpha²

substitute alpha and betha values

1/4 / (-1/2)² - (-1/2) / (1/4)²

1/4 / 1/4 + 1/2 / 1/16

after cancellation we get

1+8 = 9
