the \: given \: equation \: is \: \ x { }^{2} + 7x + 12 \\ \alpha + \beta = - 7 \\ \alpha \beta = 12 \\ so \: 1 \div 7 \alpha + 1 \div 7 \beta = 1 \div 7( \alpha + \beta ) \div \alpha \beta \\ 1 \div 7( - 7 \div 12) \\ = - 1 \div 12
