heya !!

2X² - 3X - 5

Here,

A = 2 , B = -3 and C = -5

Sum of zeroes = -B/A

Alpha + Beta = 3/2

And,

Product of zeroes = C/A

Alpha × Beta = -5/2

Therefore,

Alpha + Beta / Alpha × Beta = 3/2 / -5/2

=> 3/2 × 2/ - 5

=> - 3/5.

Answer: \frac{-3}{5}

Step-by-step explanation:

  • We know the twoo roots of quadratic equation is \alpha and \beta.
  • The given quadratic equation is 2x^{2} -3x-5=0 where a=2,b=-3 and c=-5.
  • We know sum of roots \alpha +\beta =\frac{-b}{a}

                                                        =\frac{3}{2}

  • Product of roots \alpha \beta =\frac{c}{a}

                                         =\frac{-5}{2}

  • Now \frac{\alpha +\beta }{\alpha \beta }

             ⇒\frac{\frac{3}{2} }{\frac{-5}{2} }

             ⇒\frac{-3}{5}

  • Hence the required result is \frac{-3}{5}.
