If alpha (a) and beta (b) are the zeroes of the quadratic polynomial p(x) then it means that
x=a
i.e. x-a=0
(x-a)=0
x=b
i.e. x-b=0
(x-b)=0
Hence,
p(x)=(x-a)(x-b)
x=a
i.e. x-a=0
(x-a)=0
x=b
i.e. x-b=0
(x-b)=0
Hence,
p(x)=(x-a)(x-b)
