p(x) = 2x^2 + 7x - 3 = 0

a = 2

b = 7

c = -3

α + β = -b/a

α + β = -7/2

αβ = c/a

αβ = -3/2

(α + β)^2 = (-7/2)^2

α^2 + β^2 + 2αβ = 49/4

α^2 + β^2 + 2 × -3/2 = 49/4

α^2 + β^2 - 3 = 49/4

α^2 + β^2 = 49/4 + 3

α^2 + β^2 = (49 + 12)/4

α^2 + β^2 = 61/4

α^2 + β^2 = 15 + 1/4

Thank you...
