α+β=5. ........(i)

αβ=c/a

αβ=Κ .............(ii)

α–β=1. (squaring on both sides)

α²+β²–2 α β=1

(α+β)²–4 α β=1

Put the values of (i)and (ii)

25–4K=1

-4K=-24

K=6
