Answer:

the given polynomial is x^2 -x -2

sum of zeros are -b/a

so -(-1)/1 = 1

product of zeros c/a

so -2

New polynomial sum of zeros

2a +1 + 2b + 1

= 2 (a + b + 1)

= 2 (1+1)

=4

product of zeros (2a + 1)(2b+1)

4ab + 2a +2b + 1

4 (-2) +2 (1)+1

-8+2+1

-5

there fore the polynomial is x^2 -4x -5
