x/y= 2/3

x=2×y/3 (1)

xy= 8/3

2×y/3×y= 8/3

2y²=8

y²=4

y=±2

now if y= -2

x=2×-2/3

x= -4/3

x+y = -k/3

-4/3+(-2) = -k/3

(-4-6)/3= -k/3

-10 =-k

k=10

Similarly if y = +2

then x= 4/3

and k = -10
