Step-by-step explanation:

Alpha+beta=- coeffecient of x/coeffecient of x^2

=-P/1= -P

Alpha*beta=coeffecient of const term/coeffecient of x^2 =23

Alpha - beta=1

(Alpha - beta) ^2=(Alpha +beta) ^2 - 4alpha*beta

1=P^2 - 4*23

P=root93

I think in the question

x square + PX + 23

the const term is 2 instead of 23

Then the ans would be P=root9=3,-3

Hope it helps u
