x^2+7x+12 = 0
factorise this equation:
x^2 + 4x + 3x + 12 = 0
x(x+4) + 3 (x+4) = 0
therefore, (x+3) (x+4) = 0
= x = -3 OR -4
let -3 be alpha
and -4 be beta
1/ alpha + 1 = 1+(-3)/-3
= -2/-3
= 2/3
