Let the speed of the employee be x meters per minute. let the time taken be t minutes => total distance = xt since he gets late by 15mins => he takes extra 15min + his usual time t 2x/3* ( t + 15 ) = total distance = xt => 2/3 ( t + 15 ) = t => 2t + 30 = 3t => t = 30 minutes
