If an object is immersed 1/2 in water what will be its upthrust.

the body is immersed in liquid then the the upthrust will be equal to the half weight of the body that is immersed in liquid.

because the upthrust is equal to the displaced water by the object.

According to Archimedes principle:-
If a body is completely or partially immersed in a fluid, then the the upward force on it will be equal to the weight of liquid fluid displaced.

Keeping this in mind, The object is immersed half in water, then upthrust will  be equal to its half of if it is immersed fully.
