Distance of object from mirror(u) = - 12 [by sign convention]
focal length = - 24 [by sign convention]
By using mirror formula
1/f = 1/v + 1/u
-24 = 1/v + 1/-12
Now,
1/v = 1/-24 - 1/-12
=1-2/-24
=-1/-24
v=24cm
Now by using magnification formula
m=-v/u
=hi/ho
-24/-12 = hi/4
hi= 0.5cm
So height of image is 0.5cm
