Adaptation is a process in which one can adapt or transform itself according to the surroundings. If an organism fails to adapt to its environment, there would be many possible consequences like:-1) No more species of the same organism as they will get extinct.2) The organism might die.3) The organism might become weak and ill.

if an organism fails to adapt in the environment then the genes of the organism will lost permanently and the one who adapt themselves in environment continue to produce young ones which leads in the formation of new species that shows evolution.
