Solution:

if α and β are zeroes of the polynomial x^2-3x+2, then find 1/α + 1/β

Compare x²-3x+2 with ax²+bx+c, we get

a = 1 , b = -3 , c = 2

i ) α + β = -b/a

= -(-3)/1

= 3

ii ) αβ = c/a

= 2/1

= 2

Now ,

1/α + 1/β

= (α + β )/αβ

= 3/2
