Per capita Income only shows an average..It does not show exact earning of a person.....

Suppose The total population is 10,00,000 and total income is 1600000000 so per capita income comes around 1600 so does that mean that everyone in that section earns 1600...the answer is no because one may earn 800 and some may earn 1500...

Thus, the per capita income only shows an estimate, average. It hides more than it reveals.

So, that is why if a country's per capita income is higher still it is not treated as developed country.

Hope it helps..
