area of rectangle=lb
=(a-b)(2a+b)
=2a square+ab-2ab-b square=-ab+2a square-b square
it is given that the area of the rectangle is same as the algebric expression
kab+2a square-b square=-1ab+2a square-b square
therefore , k=-1

Answer:

The value of k is -1

Step-by-step explanation:

Area of rectangle =length ×breadth

=(a-b) (2a+b)

=2a^2+ab-2ab-b^2

=2a^2-ab-b^2

So,

kab+ 2a^2- b^2=2a^2-ab-b^2

K=-1
