The rms velocity of the gas at stp is 651.07 m/s.

Explanation :

We know that ,

average velocity, Cav = \sqrt{\frac{8RT}{\pi M} }

and,

rms velocity, Crms = \sqrt{\frac{3RT}{M} }

Hence, dividing both the equation we get

Crms/Cav = \sqrt{\frac{3\pi }{8} }

= 1.085

=> Crms = 1.085 x Cav

= 1.085 x 600

= 651.07 m/s

Hence the rms velocity of the gas at stp is 651.07 m/s.
