Hey!
___________
ax^2 + bx + c has equal roots, that means,
D = 0
Difference of roots = 0
[ Like if one root and second roots = 2, then , 2 - 2 = 0 ]
D = √D/a
We know, D = b^2 - 4ac
D = √ ( b^2 - 4ac)/a
0 = √ ( b^2 - 4ac)/a
0 × a = √ ( b^2 - 4ac)
0 = √ ( b^2 - 4ac)
0 = b^2 - 4ac
4 ac = b^2
c = b^2 / 4a
Thus,
c = b^2 / 4a
Now, through this we can find a and b too.
