The displacement time graph for the body which is at rest, will be as follows -

  • If the body is at rest, then the body is travelling zero distance with the passing time, which means the total displacement of the body will be zero.
  • So, the graph can be represented by a straight line which is parallel to the time axis or we can also represent this graph the time axis itself.
  • The basic nature of this graph will be a straight line with zero amount of slope.
