Answer:

m=2kg

v=2m/s or 2ms^-1

Kinetic energy(Ek)=?

By using :

Ek =1/2 mv2 (2 is here square of v)

=1/2 2×22

Or 2/2 2×22

=8 Joule will be its Kinetic energy

Since the body goes up with speed 2m/s, it will return with the same speed 2m/s

Mass = m = 2kg

Velocity = v = 2m/s

Hence,

KE of the body just before striking the ground = 1/2mv²

KE = 1/2 × 2 × 2²

KE = 1/2 × 2 × 4

KE = 8/2

KE = 4 J
