If c is the measure of the hypotenuse of a right triangle, how do you find each missing measure given a=x, b=x+41, c=85?

7225=x²+x²+82x+41²

2x²+82x+1681-7225=0

2x²+82x-5544=0

x²+41x-2772=0

x=(-41±√41²+4*2772*1)/2

=1/2(-41±113)

Now as side can not be negative

so x=1/2(-41+113)=1/2(72)=36 cm

so a=x=36 cm

b=x+41=36+41=77 cm

so a=36 cm ,b=77 cm,c=85 cm
