if cold water is poured in a steel glass a layer of water is formed outside the glass . why?

The water vapour in the atmosphere condenses on coming in contact with the cold surface of the steel glass, so a layer of water is formed outside the glass.

because when the air present outside comes into the contact with the cool surface of glass it condense to form small droplets of water
