Given :

Copper loss of the transformer at 7/8 of full load = 4900 W

To find :

Copper loss at full load .

Solution :

Full load Copper loss = I * I * R               ....(i)

where , I is current ,

and , R is resistance .

Now ,

4900 = (7/8) I * (7/8) I * R

=> ( 4900 * 8 * 8 ) / ( 7 * 7 ) = I * I * R = Full load Copper loss   {by (i)}

=> Full load Copper loss = ( 4900 * 8 * 8 ) / ( 7 * 7 )

=> Full load Copper loss = 6400 W

The full load Copper loss is 6400 W .
