given cos =0.6

then using

 {sin}^{2}  +  { \cos}^{2}  = 1

now

 {sin}^{2}  = 1 -  {0.6}^{2} \\  {sin}^{2}  = 1  - 0.36 \\  {sin}^{2}  =0.64 \\  sin = 0.8

now ...

tan =  \frac{sin}{cos}   =  \frac{0.8}{0.6}  =  \frac{8}{6}  = 1.33

now putting these values in equation..

let LHS

5sin-3tan

 = 5 \times 0.8  - 3 \times 1.33 \\  = 4 - 3.99 \\  = 4 - 4(approx) \\  = 0 = rhs

hence proved
