hey mate!

cosA=0.5

=5/10=1/2

cos=adj/hyp

adj=1units.

hyp=2 units

hyp²=adj²+opp²

2²=1²+opp²

opp=√3 units

then sin A=√3/2

hope the answer helps u

Given,

cos A = 0.5

To Find,

The value of sin A =?

Solution,

We can solve the question as follows:

It is given that the value of cosA = 0.5.

We know the identity,

sin^{2} A + cos^{2}A  = 1

Substituting the value of cos A in the above formula,

sin^{2}A   + (0.5)^{2}   = 1

sin^{2}A + 0.25 = 1

sin^{2}A = 1 - 0.25

sin^{2}A = 0.75

sin A = \sqrt{0.75}

Now, 0.75 can be written as,

0.75 = \frac{75}{100}

        = \frac{3}{4}

Therefore,

sin A = \sqrt{\frac{3}{4} }

         = \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}      (Since the value of \sqrt{4}  = 2)

Hence, the value of sin A is equal to \frac{\sqrt{3} }{2}.
