Given :

The cost price of 1000 g (1 kilogram) potatoes = ₹37

To Find : The cost price of 100 g potatoes.

Solution :

First find the cost price of 1 g of potatoes by dividing the cost price of 1000 g potatoes by 1000 and then multiply the quotient by 100.

Cost of 1000 gram potatoes = ₹37

Cost of 1 gram potatoes = ₹

 \frac{37}{1000}

Cost price of 100 gram potatoes = Cost price of 1 gram potatoes × 100

 \frac{37}{1000}  \times 100 \\  \\  = 3.7
