cotα=√2+1 (given)

tanα-cotα= to find

1/cotα-cotα

1/√2+1 -√2+1

Now take LCM

1/√2+1 -(√2+1 )^2/√2+1

1-(√2+1)^2/√2+1

1-(2+1+2√2)/√2+1

1-(3+2√2)/√2+1

1-3-2√2 /√2+1

-2-2√2/√2+1

-2 (1+√2)/√2+1
