Given that

CP of 10 articles = SP of 8 articles

Solution

Let the SP of 1 article be ₹1. Then,

SP of 8 articles = ₹8

CP of 8 articles = ₹8

SP of 10 articles = ₹10

SP > CP = Gain

Gain = SP - CP

= ₹(10 - 8)

= ₹2

Gain % = Gain/CP × 100

= 2/8 × 100

= 25 %
